Zatoun olive oil provides the perfect reason to gather in a salon or meeting at someone’s home.
Invite friends to an olive oil tasting. Have each person bring their favourite olive oil. With pita bread or baguette, taste the differences and experience the individual character (texture, colour, fragrance, etc.) of each region’s oil.
This can be your entry into honest discussion about the problems and issues facing Palestine as it struggles to free itself from Israel’s brutal occupation and find dignity as a sovereign people in their own land.

As Zatoun grows and develops - sums needed grow as well. The challenge of Fair Trade is to bridge one purchase to the next as the entire order is paid for immediately. Zatoun does not built a "reserve" or surplus with which to buy as it donates 100% of proceeds. Also it can take as much as 8-12 months to collect the revenue from oil sales.
