Zatoun at Stores

Zatoun is available at selected stores across Canada.  We mourn the closing of Ten Thousand Villages; however seven locations remain under independent local management (they are in their respective geographic list below).

Stores selling Zatoun in Canada

Zatoun is mostly sold through solidarity channels like faith groups, activist and grassroots venues throughout the year. A modest percentage is sold by a small number retailers across Canada – coops, independent neighbourhood grocers and the fair trade network. It is important that Zatoun be available to supporters who would otherwise not come across it in non-retail venues. Zatoun needs as wide exposure as possible and stores help make that happen.

IMPORTANT: contact retailers for current stock before visiting.

Zatoun is very sad at the closing of Ten Thousand Villages stores across Canada by June 2020.  Ten Thousand Villages was a valued partner from day one of our relationship in 2007.  The chain was a pioneer and mainstay of fair trade in this country; it is a great loss.  Thankfully 3 stores remain open under Ten Thousand Villages name with independent local management.  Another 4 stores have adopted names containing word “Villages.”  They are listed under their respective geographic location.

If you are a retailer and want to inquire about selling Zatoun in your store, please use the contact formhttps://zatoun.com/contact-form/ or email at info@zatoun.com.

Dealing with Zatoun is easy and straight forward – we only have a few products. We pass on the shipping or mailing cost on the invoice (generally is from $2.50 to $3.00 per bottle).

Payment is via cheque (or online bank e-transfer in Canada). We are flexible on terms and generally ask for 30-45 days if needed.

We are happy to list your store on our retailer list page.

Zatoun is mostly sold at solidarity channels and grassroots venues throughout the year. About 20% is sold by a small number retailers – coops, small neighbourhood grocers and the fair trade network. It is important that Zatoun be available to supporters who would otherwise not come across it. Zatoun needs as wide exposure as possible and stores help make that happen.

Zatoun sells to retailers at a fixed wholesale price which is lower than the industry standard retailers may be used to.  Retailers apply a mark-up on Zatoun items based on their store target mark-up.  The result is a range of prices for Zatoun on the retail shelf.  Zatoun remains excellent value olive oil even at retail stores.

Note: Most retailers usually only carry the olive oil and za’atar herb mix.

Important: It is recommended that you contact the retailer to check on stock prior to visit.
